The Cooney Classroom
The January 2020 Cooney Classroom is in the books!
Students have now become graduates. They have moved their metephoric tassels from right to left. All while on the steps of The Orlo and surrounded by downtown Tampa.
The gratification and fulfillment that we can feel at the end of these Classroom’s is nearly unexplainable. Does it come from our background of being teachers in the classroom? Does it come from watching these attendees and their confidence grow? Or does it come from the feeling you get knowing you’ve helped someone become a better business owner? All of these questions can be answered with an astounding,
YES.
We thoroughly enjoy these Classrooms, and these questions only briefly explain how we feel when leaving. If this is how we feel, imagine how the Cooney Classroom Graduates must feel. We can’t speak for them, but judging by the hugs, comments, smiles, and selfies we received, we will let you be the judge. Here’s a snapshot agenda with some behind the scenes of this three day event…
Day 1
The first day was filled with the students grinding and digging deep to identify your ideal client. Hands on activities allowed everyone to work on their business with a guiding hand (instead of going home with a never-ending To-Do list).
We bring in our own KISS albums that we’ve made for our business to not only show them how we identify our ideal client, but so they can see the value, work, and time that goes into an heirloom like this.
Shauna’s wonderful facial expressions explains it all…even she’s in disbelief of what is in this workbook! 🙂
One will never quite understand the amount of poses and facial expressions Shauna can do in such a short amount of time.
Day 2
Starting the day with headshots! Because everyone always looks and feels their best when first walk into work with a coffee in their hand.
After headshots, we quickly transitioned Jordon’s information on marketing towards your ideal client with Facebook ads.
And the amount of information didn’t stop with advertising, but what do when the client wants to book with you.
At the end of Day 2 was a intensive styling session. Everyone had their own flat-lay area to work with details including multiple invitation suites, bridal details, and groom details.
It’s amazing how much work, thought, and effort goes into details…and finding a comfortable way to photograph it all isn’t always the easiest. So Shauna shared her approach and guidance as each graduate worked through styling their individual flat-lays.
Day 3
The final day ended with two amazing styled sessions. All while using every inch of The Orlo’s classic and timeless venue.
One of the two styled sessions was a Spring Romance inspired shoot held outside the front of the venue with peach and blush tones.
The Classic Black tie was used inside the ballroom and at the staircase inside of The Orlo house.
Overall, the January Cooney Classroom was an amazing experience and will forever be an event that we will hold near and dear to our hearts. And like most things,
none of it would have been possible without an amazing team of vendors for their time and talent.
A special thank you to each and every one below (and when you see the Black Tie and Spring Romance styled sessions, you will understand exactly why!)
Hugs and lots of love,
Shauna and Jordon
