3 Reasons Your ‘About Me’ is Failing Your Business

27

Dec

Can one page of your website really make that much of a difference?

Yes. Yes, it can.

Here the 3 Reasons your ‘About Me’ is failing your business:

#1 Reason your ‘About Me’ is failing your business:

You are being way too generic on who you are targeting.

You are screaming that you are open for business and willing to take on whoever, whenever.

How to fix it: Be specific and target your ideal client.
If they were standing right in front of you, what would you say to them?

#2 Reason your ‘About Me’ is failing your business:

You’re trying too hard to be like everyone else.

Have you searched other photographer’s websites and tried to mimic their website? They seem successful so why not try to do it like them?

But when you do that, you lose yourself.
There is only ONE you! No other business can be like yours because they are not you!

#3 Reason your ‘About Me’ is failing your business:

You aren’t being real.

You’re doing that professional thing where your voice goes up in pitch, your smile
gets wider than usual, and you say feel-good words that aren’t native to your vocabulary.

Know what I’m talking about?

Stop talking about “preserving memories” and get to the REAL WHY of why you do what you do.

Or maybe you don’t know your why so you can’t share it…
